Abstract
A Management of clinical data for the surgical patients is one of the basic works in the departmets of surgery. Many of the works are able to be accomplished by personal computer, those include registration of patient data, searching for
articles,
and
analyses of clinical data etc. We are to introduce a computer program for the management of various data of surgical departemt and patients. The program was developed in a programming mode of FoxPro 2.0, and runs on IBM-PC-compatible computers.
Also the
systemic configurations, which to use properly, requires DOS 5.0 in O.S.(operating system), 5 Megabytesor more in RAM(Random Access Memory), 100 Megabyts or more in Hard Disk capacity, at elast 10 Megabytes in availabel disk space, and
intel-80386(32
bits) in computer processing chip. The 8 bits combination codes are used to write Hangul(Korean Language character).
@ES This program offers the various functions such as the followings:
@EN 1) Be albe to input, output, and search data of patients as you need.
2) Be able to obtain the various reports by analysing the patients data.
3) Be able to register the srticles in Journal of Korean Surgical Society and to retrieve them as keywords, authors, and surgical parts.
4) By entering data for surgical diseases, operations, and diagnostic tools, all of the user can refer to these data in travelling this program.
5) Be able to manage data of the departments. By examples, manager of the surgical members, skejuler of the department, collection book of common senses in surgery, and manager of the reference books.
6) Other programs, which to back up data files and to reset data for maintaining program, are supplied, and the another accessary programs are also supplied.
7) Be able to study and analyse the clinical data prospectively by inserting the optional predefined programs.
We expect the more advanced and beneficial program for management fo data for the surgical department and patients.
